Sealed Enclosure SW - Build or Buy ?

Hi All,

With my Yammy RXV-471, want to go for a sub, which has the following attributes :

1. Sealed enclosure
2. at least 200 watts Amp
3. 10 / 12 inch driver

Please suggest buying options under 25K.

I know two of them : Wharfdale SPC 10 (price = 32K) / Sonodyne (2815..correct me if I am wrong or this one is out of production)

Or go for a DIY stuff ? Wud it provide good SQ ? Who can do it in Bangalore?

Can I reuse these components (see attached pictures) of my old 5.1 system, to make a Subwoofer Amplifier? Idea is that I want to use all 5 speakers resources into the Subwoofer channel. Experts please let me know if this is feasible.

why sealed ? any preferences interms of build ?

For movies.. there are many good ported ones to.. not all that bad.. the wharf SW150 for ex is a good piece or maybe the Sunfire SDS 8 ( MRP 33k in Mumbai )..

The SDS 8 is sealed and had a passive radiator too. Havent heard them myself but have been eyeing this for a while.. am sure ti will be worth a hear.

I'll have more than 60% music share for one and do not want very loud or boomy bass. Heard sealed ones deliver controlled & tight bass.Now 30 K price may be an over budget. Im gettin wharf SPC 10 for 29K. However, I'll audition sonodyne roar 2815, that may be below 20K.
I was thinkin of reusing my old 5.1 resources.Seeking some input for same.
