Hi All

I have been looking for multimedia speakers to connect to a laptop for playing music for my Dad.. My budget is around Rs. 5000-6000... Do not really know much about the Creative and Logitech speakers but found an Edifier 2.1 speaker set as below:

Amazon.in: Buy Edifier HCS2330 C2-PLUS 2.1 High Performance 53 Watt RMS Multimedia Speakers Online at Low Prices in India | Edifier Reviews & Ratings

Is it worth the price and can I get anything better at lesser or maybe a little higher cost? The purpose is to play music only...

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated...

Edifier is excellent one. But Creative gigabyte is also equally good. If you like thumpy bass and not Bose hater then Companion II or III will be good. but remember Bose companion is all about thumpy bass.
