So, i've finally received my NR609 from U.S.A. Its been a month and its sitting there pretty in a shelf :) - I don't even know if it shipped safely coz I don't have a step-down transformer to test it! I would love your help/recommendation here. These are the amp specs:

Amplifier output details: 125 Watt - 8 Ohm - 20 - 20000 Hz - THD0.08 % - 7 channel(s) (Surround)

What would you guys recommend? Should I buy a branded one? If yes, what brand? What should I look for when I go buy a step-down transformer? Finally, where in Hyderabad should I look to buying one?

TIA guys - I know I'll receive good response here.

I use a Maxine 1500W step down transformer with my Onkyo SR608 for the past one year. No issues so far.

raksha is a good local brand. i have four of them which i use with my stereo, ht setups. it is compact and looks good as well.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
