Tata Sky HD Discovery HD has dropped in quality !

Did anyone notice since the last week or so the Discovery HD is looking interlaced and horrible compared to earlier, looks like upscaled 480i, Nat-Geo remains the same.

Yes, saw on mine too.

Noticed that on Nat-Geo couple of months back. Lodged a complaint and they said signal under test. Next day all was fine. So I guess it must be the same.

Try calling TS.

I noticed too, but only one time. Yesterday evening, I chanced upon this program on the universe on TataHD...no interlacing and it was surreal..completely blew my mind. Made me realize how insignificant we are in the grand scheme of things. I guess the glorious image on my 50PK550 helped drive that point better

When did Tata Sky and other DTH providers give us quality service.......it was bad from day one and the reason is compression...........

The channel in question was the only proper HD channel, Nat geo has chinese subtitles and badly mapped 5.1, star plus is upscale, so no compression was not a factor for this channel .

Subtitles are gone from NGC.

JigneshG! Thanks for that! I checked and it is indeed gone! I read that some of our fellow Forum members wrote to the tatasky ceo about the subtitles! Cheers to them!

I have also noticed about the Quality of Discovery. Now its very bad.. when they will get it corrected? Anybody informed this to the customer care?

I have lodged a complaint with the Technical Dept Head in their Customer Support.

yes, me too noticed bad quality in Discovery HD of Tata Sky HD.

This issue has been resolved , Picture quality is same as earlier now.
