Discovery HD and Nat Geo HD are Asia feeds on all Indian DTH operators, this is a well known fact.
No, one cannot turn it off. I'm not getting the subs for for Discovery HD, either. :yahoo: Nat Geo HD is another matter altogether with the subs being there in their full glory.
Bought the STB from a dealer today and tried to install myself. At the end, I got the screen which gave me the menu list with the voice, but without the picture of the channel, the only thing I could see in each channel was a yellow triangle with an exclamation. I called up the CC for getting the activation done. He took up the registration of the STB; initially he mentioned that this service was in Mumbai only and not yet started in Thane, but agreed to do so after I said that it was active in Belapur. He then mentioned that there was a separate cabling required without which the activation cannot be done. So here I am and will wait for the activation.

But 'National Geographic HD' is only Mono now and not DD 5.1 on SunDirect HD. With other DTH operators, things generally improve with time, but with SunDirect HD it just keeps getting worse.

Hi guys, finally I got my TS HD box, but still not installed. Today I called up the TS CC, they are saying that it takes 24-48 hrs to install, and they promised to do that on Monday. Eagerly waiting for it to get installed. :indifferent14:
It was really tough to get the HD box in Pune; everyone is saying that it's not there in market and will take at least 10-15 days time to be available. But finally I got it at Empire Music House at MG Road, Camp. If anyone is interested, please rush, because when I went there he had only 2 HD boxes, and now I left him with only one!! (Assuming on one has taken that too)...

He too had 2 boxes initially ( and I have taken one )...so he has one left now. But he can organize in a couple of days' notice.
The box came with a component-out cable too, which is good news. Although, you can get to see all channels using the HDMI cable itself. So may be, the component cable may not be of any use, after all.
The TATA Sky guys installed the new Set-top box here and I also got the old one installed in another room, with my older TV.
The HD Channels are yet to show up though.....as they say, 48 hrs and all that. But I am wiser and used my wife's services to call up and 'hector' the CC ppl, and now they have promised to get the channels going by today itself..................so, still keeping my fingers crossed.
The first impression of the nifty, smaller remote is very good, although I am missing the broad category-wise segmentation of the channels, which is there in the older version. Now all the channels are queuing up all together....so browsing thru them is some work. You can still set Favorites...........but again, one may have a whole number of Favorites to browse thru. We need to get a hang of it, to feel the old convenience.

Congrats!..Wait for the FIFA till 7th and Wimbledon in the evening on the sports channels.Some stunning pictures through an HTB.

in the all channels menu, press the green button to get genre-wise sorted channels, that should solve your problem.
I am not been able to see Only Star Sports HD on Tata sky Rest all HD channels are visible . Its time for Wimbledon Finals now . I called up tata sky CC to check up why only Star Sports HD was not available where as all other channels are . They said had me hold the line for about 20 min and then they said that the problem would be resolved in 24 hrs . What will i do of this channel after 24 hrs whn finals are on right now . Will there be any broadcast for me after 24 Hrs . This is really bad .
They CC guy also told me that all Tata sky HD customers cannot watch StarSports HD right now . Did any one watch Mens Final on Tata Sky HD

Sorry, as I typed the above, I can see that Star Sports HD is indeed there...and now I am enjoying the Nadal vs Berdych match on HD!
