Finally got my HD box in Bangalore. Got it installed the same day, just waiting for activation of the HD Channels. Overall looks like the SD Channels are also coming out pretty good compared to my 4 year old settop box.

There was some problem with star sports HD , the channel was down for me also the entire day, it came up for some time in the evening and then again went down. I was talking and troubleshooting with the customer care the entire day and they said its a known issue in the evening and lot of customers are complaining of the same.

KDM same here it was on for 10 odd minutes and then went off again.
I asked my wife to check and she says as of now the channel is not appearing in the list.
Can any other users check and confirm if star sports hd is still coming and what is the display on the screen.

No, it's not on the list as of this morning. It seems that Star Sports HD has gone as of the end of Wimbledon.
Yes, I too had the same issue. Then in the evening it got started while the match was in second set. Again it went for some time, and then it was there all the way. Watched little bit of Mixed doubles final also

I went around looking for the HD box in Noida(Sec-18 market) but all the vendors said that there initial stock is sold out and they don't know when they will receive more. I thought the safest option was to place the request directly. They assured the delivery within 3 to 7 days..fingers crossed.. hoping they deliver it at least before Sunday's final.. (without Brazil and Argentina ..its not going to be much fun anywaz

Deepak please cross check if the HD channel is there or has it disappeared from the list. As i believe they have removed the channel from the list.

1. Does the new Tatasky HD remote operate the old SD settop box - (I guess possibly not)
2. If not, then which Universal remotes work with this new HD settop box?
Possible solution I guess is to use a programmable universal remote but want to know if this one is supported 'out-of-the-box'.
Any Tatasky HD + universal remotes users please clarify.

Alright finally got my tata sky HD box installed and all HD channels running too... and I have to say the word is WOW , watching it on a 50 inch plasma....even with still the breakin settings....
so all in all a good deal and nice PQ.. even on SD... HD channels as has been said many times... is different world...

Hi guys, Only yesterday I became a proud owner of TS HD. Here are some of the important things about it :
1. DO NOT order TS HD via the CC. They just postpone things everytime. Instead look up a dealer in ur area and order it from there. This will take a lot less time as the demand for HD is very high due to the FIFA WC and CC has booked more orders than it can deliver.
2.The quality of SD channles is more or less the same.
3. The quality of NATGEO HD and Discovery HD is awesome:yahoo: The pictures are very clear. Bt it should be noted that these are all-together different transmissions, so your favourite show might not be available.
Now the GLITCHES :
1. There is definitiely a sound problem in Discovery HD. The volume is lower than usual.
2. Also there is a chinese subtitles problem in NatGeo HD. They don't seem to go away.
But these are minor problems which , I hope, will be rectified soon.

These are problems that have been widely reported on this thread. Both NGC and Discovery World HD have low volume. I can put up with that, but desperately need them to remove the chinese subs on NGC.

Hey Dillihifi, Do u have annual mega pack subscription?? If yes... then connect the wire from the dish to the HD STB... connect the box to your TV. Now replace the digicard in ur HD STB with the one in ur older STB... This works... But if u do not have annual mega pack, then u gotta wait as the cc won't activate HD pack till u have ur HD STB installed by their "engineers"...
