i would like to upgrade to tata sky hd, can some users owning tatasky hd clarify my quarries-

(i) if i buy new digicomp will older one be deactivated
(II) i have subscribed to annual mega package last month only will it be transferred to new digicomp?

I have kept my regular STB of my Tata sky connection for my 2nd TV....at no extra cost.
Rs. 200/- for extra wiring will be debited to my online account. There on, Rs. 150/- pm for the 2nd connection, besides my original connection.

My accounts are as follows:
Base-:Super Saver Pack
Optional Package: Lifestyle Gold, Fun Learning, Sports Gold, Sports Platinum, HD Gold Monthly.

These accounts have got transferred to my original TATA-Sky connection( now with HD Gold package).
The same accounts ( minus the HD) are also available to me on my 2nd connection.

1) When they Activate HD for u, the old one will der as a multi connection, u may call the helpline to cancel the multi connection

2) Yes the ANNUAL MEGA PACK will be der in new connection.
 
Replying to a not so recent thread, but couldn't find this info elsewhere on this forum -

I have tata sky + and have only 1 TV that is operated (others are merely connected but no one watches). So multi room option is not suited to me. I am addicted to tata sky + since I watch 80% of programmes that are recorded. Please suggest to the below -

1. can tata sky HD serve as HD STB as well as has tata sky + capabilities?
2. if I go for HD, and I do not want multiroom, i understand that i will have to upgrade my package to HD (30 INR?). What would be the cost of the HD STB considering that plus STB will not be used and can be returned to tata if there is such a scheme.
3. if i can't get cost benefit or exchanging plus with hd, and if i do not want multiroom, can i use hd and plus on same tv whenever i wish to switch between those? this way i can record as well as watch some HD channels? possible or not?

1. No, HD STB doesn not Record, pause and rewind facilty now. They are expected to launch itseems.

2. There is no exchange offer for TS and TS+ STB, if u want to upgrade to HD u shud purchase a new HD STB which will cost Rs 2599 and u'll get one year HD Gold pack FREE.

3. I guess if u activate the HD stb, the other STB will be deactivated, it'll only work in case of Multiroom connection. So not possible.

My suggestion : As u r addicted to TS+ features wait until TS launched Tata Sky Plus HD STB.
 
I am a Tata Sky HD subscriber. In the MyAccount page, there is a record section. Can somebody tell me if the record facility is only for TataSky+ customers?? Also NatG HD, though glorious comes with Chinese subtitles. Any way to remove them?

Yes, Record facility is only for TATA Sky+ Customers.

And there is no way to remove the Chinese subtitles from Customer's end.
 
What I really do not understand is why TataSky HD customers are not complaining about the chinese subtitles in the NG HD channel. Obviously TataSky is doing something wrong, because neither 'SunDirect HD' or 'Dish True HD' have this problem. Personally I stopped from getting a 'TataSky HD' connection for just this reason. Cannot stand the stupid subtitles on all the English channels now a days and now to have to put up with subtitles that serve absolutely no purpose is beyind me. IS there really no end to the icompetence of Indian companies?
