I think you're getting a deal for the Philips 50" LED. Are you sure it's not a refurbished model or demo unit coz 56K seems too good to be true.

It is not exactly similar. In this case, Titan has the marketing right for India for these products, which are still being produced by Tommy and Fossils etc. But in the case of Philips, Kenstar, Akai etc, Videocon is the producer and marketeer for the products. Philips went out of consumer electronic few years back, and they are now allowing such local companies like Videocon to use their brand and they takes royalty for that.
