Except for TS+HD which does goes to either the previous channel or the one which STB switched while on standby to record something.

There was a thread on this I think and it was only Airtel (if my memory serves me right) that goes to the last viewed channel even if you switch off from the mains.

I downloaded the new S/W for TS HD.. its working but no dolby sound :sad:
any way to get back to the old firmware..anyone

It's possible that the 'preferred audio' setting in the 'sound settings' on your STB got changed during the software update.
Try the following:
1. Press 'Organiser' on your remote.
2. Select 'User Settings'.
3. Select 'Sound Settings'.
4. Check the 'Preferred Audio' setting. It will state either 'Dolby' or 'PCM'. In case it is 'Dolby' then leave it alone, but if it is 'PCM' change it to 'Dolby'.
5. Save the setting by pressing the 'blue' button on the remote.
Hopefully this helps. I personally am getting DD 5.1 via the coaxial output, but I cannot try the HDMI becaue my AV receiver does not have HDMI inputs. Some people are reporting that prior to the update, they were unable to control the volume level via the HDMI output and now they can do so. Strangely enough, if I remember correctly, I have always been able to control the volume level via the HDMI output, but then again I have the HDMI output going directly to my TV.

I am sorry, but it looks like the software update has brought the problems of the 'DVR' HD STB to the 'non DVR' HD STB too.

Don't bother manually updating as TS HD users are struggling on DD5.1 bit.
You will get 5.1 fine through digital outputs other than HDMI. Are you getting it thru HDMI?
I have a more basic problem after the OTA update. I have a non-dvr version of TS HD. The UI changes are definitely nice...transparent menus with a nice black 'n blue overlay..much better than the earlier orange theme. BUT HOW THE HELL DO I GET THE FAVORITES HOT KEY TO WORK, AND HOW DO I ADD OR DELETE FAVORTITES. I hate going thru guide all he time to switch channels...I watch a few selective ones
Previously my neighbour's HD Ready LG LCD(model No. LD 310) was not able to accept signals from TS HD STB through HDMI. Now he's able to do that. Guess it's because of this software update.

hi.. facing the same problem as many.. i have TS HD (not the TS HD+ DVR)..ever since the new software got downloaded, no DD5.1 thru HDMI.
I wanted to know how I can still get the video thru HDMI cable to my Onkyo 3300 and make the Onkyo take the audio from the Coax only. Guess this is more of a question for the AVR setting...
But really disappointed that TS DD5.1 stopped working on my TS HD just because of the new software download (which incidentaly was pushed.. I don't recall knowingly downloading it...)... loosing DD on HDMI is not worth anything better the software is doing aethetically...

Its affecting ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE not just some. For the time being you can use a spare RCA cable to connect to the coax output assign that coax input to the HDMI port connected to TS HD box. Refer to your owner's manual for more details. Few threads in this forum also can give you insights.
That function of favourites in the new firmware is just fine for me, this is similar when I was on SD box. It makes me easy to mark.some 20 favorite channels and then use the favorite button to hop on to the beginning of the favorite list and use the channel up/down button to surf in the favourites. Works so much better than pressing the favorite button and loop through the entire list if I wanna go back to a channel.

One new BUG I am encountering since YESTERDAY. When I go to EPG or press "select" or thru "Guide" I am pointed to the LAST channel instead of CURRENTLY viewed channel.
Its very annoying to see EPG of last viewed channel while actually viewing another one..

Was at a friend's house yesterday who has TataSky+ HD and apparently the DVR STB has another bug. Everytime you change the channel, the picture pauses for a moment before playing normally.
