I have posted hot deal of 6.5k for Himedia HD910A..
Any one using it do drop feedback.

My take on the Himedia HD910A :
*Wanted a player which is powerful like the WD players (i m not very sure the popularity of the Highmedia makes me to believe )
*Not 3rd grade china box but a quality product from the mfr
There are many users of himedia , many leading sites sale them .

*Feature rich with wifi + SATA interface
wifi is for wifiNAS feature , SATA HDDs cost less .
*Android based :
many android TV boxes are there in <3k , but they have limited capability as media player , however they are good for making TV online .
*device support
Many accessories can be paired to work with like wireless mouse ,
touchpads , pens ,may be PS3 game controllers , web cam ,mini keyboards , even usb cameras for home security .

This makes you to use other gizmos so you are not limited to the standard remote , so some how HTPC like convenience.
*
more codec support ? i am not sure at this This can be huge + if you dont want to wait till the maker releases new firmware

Android is fun and classy specially if you have kids they will like
*3d feature
Projectors with 3d we find in <30k range so to have 3d in mediaplayer will support upgrades.
*UI cusomization
Android UI can be made to look as cool as you like
I am sure guests will love to see a better UI for movies and music .

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
