Very new to HiFi, Planning to get a good Home theatre set up due to the covid situation, have a budget of 50k. I'm open to all options.

Would say get bookshelves and an avr with that budget and build ur home theater in parts, coz 50k is limited specially ur after sound quality its hard to get a 5.1 invest more in speakers than ur avr,i would say get the marantz 1509 which on sale in hifimart for 33k and add wharfedale diamond 11.1 bookshelf which is 24k and when budget permits add more speakers, u could also get a stereo amp with bookshelf speakers, audition as much as u can

If your room is small go for the Yamaha 3072 HTIB. I used the older model Yht299 for nearly 3 years in my small 10*12 bedroom and was happy with it.

+1, Unless you really really want surround experience immediately, AVR + 2 speakers will keep you occupied for next 5-6 years as you slowly keep adding other components to fix your upgrade 'itch'.

I was in the same boat few years back and same budget. I got AVR and FS and every year or so keep looking to add more gradually. Keeps both pocket and brain healthy and busy .

I completely agree to what the FMs have already mentioned about starting off with a AVR and bookshelf combo.

Alternatively, if you can stretch your budget a little further, Get the Marantz AVR mentioned above and do look at Taga Harmony TAV series for the speakers as well. It's pretty good for the price. You will have a 5.0 setup ready to use.You can gradually add a subwoofer.

Im not a pro to suggest you anything but I recently helped my dad to set up a budget home theatre experience. One thing I noticed is that no online markets can give discounts like a local dealer. If there are any local dealers nearby you, i suggest you talk to them. I thought my place lacked local dealers too but take your time and do your research.
