Today I am listening to Johnny Beecher ‘Sax 5th Age’ ( see image). This is one of my most well loved records. I lost the cover of this, and many other records, due to insect attack many years back when I forayed into CD. The cartridge is Philips GP400, 1983/84 vintage with a brand new aftermarket Conical .7 mil stylus. These thicker styli profile somehow sound better on old/ mono/45 rpm records. The GP 401iiihad elliptical profile and was fitted to Philips F7213 Direct Control TT , introduced in India in 1984 for ₹3000+tax ₹300.
I do have a request. If anyone has a newer copy of this (to me nostalgic) record or even the cover, I am willing to purchase the same.
