If you’re a Manu Chao fan, this is a fantastic double - compilation from his performances on his World Tour. Captures his incredible energy. A party record and how!

Manu Chao - Radio Bemba Sound System. 2002, Virgin, EU

Fleetwood Mac and a Shibata. Mindblowing. Pl send photos of the rest of the chain. Thanks
I’m sorry I missed this. My setup is extremely modest but nevertheless since you asked here goes. It consists of the Denon 600 twins and Q Acoustics 3050i towers. The TT has been the modest but under-ratedly competent Denon DP300F until this vintage 1200Mk2 came along a month ago. A new amp will probably follow shortly and perhaps a phono stage (although the one I’m looking at apparently has a competent one in-built). I’m by no means an audiophile of any kind but I do enjoy music, always have, and have been enjoying the journey reconnecting with a lot of it through my rather recent record collecting journey. My setup is quite entry-level as I mentioned, and the room is absolutely terrible for anything that’s optimal, but hey it has given me much pleasure and will continue to do so in the years to come (I hope) 🙂 Cheers,

That is a nice record stand. Your living room radiates a cozy vibe. We share the same floorstanders 🙂

Thank you! Very kind of you to say so 🙂

The record stand - it’s visually quite nice but I must say it’s not ideal in some ways. Cheap though, on Amazon. Have a few hundred records lying on other shelves. Will put them all together when I find a decent cupboard and then flog the stand. If you’re interested though, it’s available here - https://amzn.in/d/hB7dVbv

The Q Acoustics - love them!

As much as I'd love to openly display my LPs like you have and as the vast majority of audiophiles worldwide do, I cannot afford that latitude simply because dust and Mumbai enjoy each other's company (thanks to the BMC and insane redevelopment all around) hence compelled to protect them inside a cupboard. Yeah the 3050i is a vfm floorstander in my opinion.

Thanks RT 3. A lovely set up and room.Incidentally I have chronicled my ownership of the Denon DP300F, possibly a Hanpin manufacture, elsewhere in this forum. Purchased in 2011 or thereabouts, it is now doing duty with my son in Mumbai. I found it totally reliable and fuss free. The Denons may be frowned by purists, I run the PMA 1510AE (2012 vintage) myself, and touch wood, other than ‘Source Direct’ switch cleaning this amp just runs on.My Denon DCD 510 has give up the battle and I don't think lens or other parts like tactile switches are available. Just enjoy. Warm Regards.

Oh no, please don’t misunderstand me - I simply can’t do it here in Bangalore either! The dust is terrible. This is just a stopgap. If you notice, the cupboard is full of records. Had it modified from a vintage sideboard from the sixties. I now need to find another and do something similar. Open display just isn’t a solution for me either.

I commend anyone who can display their LP collection out in the open (even if it's temporary). It is a purely visual delight to behold ! Alas..if only I could as well 😞
