Watch out for the VIOLET speaker unit!!!!!!!!!

I saw the same @ LAkozy mumbai.Harsh promised to give Demo in next visit as setup was not done.

@avid:You can also read our review at:

I was hoping after our review they would get back to us to understand pros and cons better and work on it. I was really looking forward to this as it will be a nice product that could put India in HiFi map. Was little disappointed that they didnt even bother to reply to emails contrary to their initial enthusiasm for the demo.

Hope they would work on feedbacks and make it better product.

@Ashish: In its current version, I think thats a tall statement. It didn't outdo my 5 yrs old 22k Philips HTiB.

Hi Ram,

Your review and comments have not been ignored... I am in US for CES returning back on 18th and will talk to you and Venkat then to understand better. Ashish @ Lakozy delhi is not making a tall statement. We have consistently outperformed better systems so it makes me believe something might have gone wrong during your audition. Quite a few team forum members where present at the delhi audition and AV max folks kept the system with them for days to test before they wrote the review.

You guys also mentioned about needing specs for the product. Let me know what specs (and I would prefer if you can specify why you think those specs makes a correlation to audio quality). We have tried to release the specs that make sense to a consumer and one that has an effect on audio quality. The AV Max article carries those.

Thanks Ashish. Good to know you guys are active. There were totally 7 people and all had unanimous opinion not by a small margin but by a big difference. May be the system we demoed was flawed (the engineer said it wasn't nor did they have an explanation why the SQ was not better than the HTiB that too in the U571 war scene) and I hope it is.

I hope we will be proved wrong. The specs we were talking about was , we were told that the sub handles only upto 100 Hz and things like that. Venkat is the right person for this as I have never really bothered about Tech Specs in my life and I believe real world performance than tech specs in my equipments :)

I had a demo at lakozy. I did not compare it with the other system there, as it was in another league with very large pair of subs etc. There was no comparable htib there to compare either.

I watched Dark Knight blue ray (oppo 93 was the player) for about 30 mins and I did not miss any dialog. It was quite clear. The sub punch was decent, of course it was not throwing me off my seat like the other setup did. The other setup, I was bracing myself whenever a bass heavy scene came up.

At least it merits a demo. Listen and decide. It is great on the convenience and ugly speaker wiring fronts.

Regarding screw type bulb holders, IMHO, existing bulb holders should not be too expensive or too complex to replace. This opinion is NOT based on actually trying to do it, but Ashish can give reference of places in delhi where to buy it. Maybe he can arrange them too. I have seen screw type cfls also being sold in the market, so a holders should not be too difficult to find.

Have they updated the system over the last 2 yrs...still no hdmi and no Hd decoding!!
Will an AVR solve this problem?

At the onset, let me say its a great concept and I really like the looks of it.

But I think there may be a few practical problems in implementing the same

1. The people who would want to go for a system like this would probably be a general buyer who is high on aesthetics. One typically may not have planned for five light bulb sockets in one room (which are unused). Doing civil work for this system or extending wires might cause the aesthetics to suffer.

2. 2.4 Ghz is generally considered a bad range as there are too many home devices which use the same frequency range.

yeah...u r right. some wifi routers are also using the same band of frequencies

Hello Ashish,
How Violet is different then the audessy technologies? in terms of judging room nature and tunning up system?
i watched your Youtube video and you say it has never been done before, while audessy exists long time, if i am not wrong?

What do you want to say about it?

Regards
