Let's say I use brand A for left Brand B for right Brand C for center, Brand D for left surround, Brand E for right surround, Brand F for height Left and Brand G for height Right and Brand H as subwoofer? Will I blow my AVR pretty soon?

not so soon :).
My setup for the last 10 years or so.
fronts are 8 ohm load brand A, the remaining are 6 ohm load on all surrounds (Brand B).

Not unless you end up using a bunch of 2 ohm nominals and overdrive the AVR.

on a side note, I am presuming you are at least matching the pairs

Let's just assume I don't have same brand among pairs but specs are same. Impedance, RMS etc...

I am just asking because many advice me to stick with one brand for speaker choice. I have done so but want to clear my doubt.

As long as all speakers are within the technical specification of the amplifier, nothing will happen.

However what could happen is your family throwing everything out cos of the headache the setup gives.

So it's more of a concern for the listeners than it is for the components.

Having same brand / model for same channel, that is Brand A for fronts,Brand B for rear, etc is fine.

Blowing away is out of question, they wont. However, its what your AVR is expecting to be connected to. Instead of the brands, one should know for what purpose you are using and where. For example, center is for voice and you should have an adequate driver for that frequency band. Left and right should be matched, in impedance and otherwise too. A woofer may work anyway. It may help to have a tweeter in the setup as well, so decide whether its a single driver or with tweeter. Else the sound you expect may not come your way

Same brand: mainly for aesthetics

If the similar specs/impedance/wattage, then there should not be any issue. Subjectively we may feel sonic differences as there will be differences in what we see (which influence to a great level what we hear).

As others have said, nothing will happen sir.
You might just end up hearing different sound signatures, and if it is to the level where you can easily differentiate the various speakers, you may end up getting distracted while watching stuff.
Nothing else will happen.

Better to have front 3 of the same brand for timbre match. Surrounds can be from any brand except they should be the same speaker type, eg a pair of satellites or bookshelves. Subwoofer doesn't matter at all, any brand will do.

Why would anyone want to do that and get diff sound signatures? Ideally use the same for Fronts, Center can be different and Surrounds can be different.

AVR can be set manually to the desired levels for these speakers conservatively and hence dont think you will end blowing up the AVR. (Considering wiring is in order and so is the impedance).

For movies pairs or all same sounding speakers would be better as the sound signature matches. One wouldn't notice much difference.
I game heavily on my setup which is 5.1.2 and have used different surrounds in past, but the front stage always has been similar brand.
One thing I immediately noticed was sound signature changing when the characters move around you. Surrounds definitely had different voicing compared to front stage.

Xbox has been a good way to test or make minute adjustments to the 5.1 audio levels, what I did was stand in a crowded area in a game. And rotate or turn round and adjust the levels so that no speaker is over powering and is a seamless transition. End result is same voice levels with same sound signature from all ground level speakers. That's why I stick to same brand speakers, maybe it is just me or one of a case and may not apply to everyone.

AVR won't be damaged in using different speakers all round, but the power and sound levels will be different for each speaker. Sensitivity, load, and all these factors will make it sound different.

In fact it may be better doing such kind of mix and match.
The frequency response demand from center speaker is usually different from side speakers and definitely much different from rear speakers.
