Which courier company do you use for shipping LP / CD etc ?

I had to ship some LPs today within India itself. I went to various courier companies and almost every company refused. Half of them could not understand what these black colored discs were. Other half classified them as electronic items and refused to ship them.

In one particular office, they agreed, opened the parcel and then circulated the LP's among themselves handling them by the grooves (as if it was a plate from kitchen). They were trying to decide whether to ship or not. The way they checked the LP, got me really angry and I had to walk out of this office.

Is this problem there only in UP or in your state too ? Which courier company do you use ?

Try First Flight.
Or take it to the local post office. though, you'll have to pack them in front of those buggers.

Should be no problem.

Have shipped LP's to people and I have never been subjected to this kind of crap.

I'll try the local post office next time.

First Flight was one of the companies that flatly refused saying that these were electronic items. I even asked them if they had a list of items that they could not ship but they didn't.
