Xiaomi to launch Mi TV Q1 75" on 23rd March - QLED, 192 Zones, 120Hz

For those of you who purchased the TV on Flipkart, did you go through with the installation with the Flipkart Jeeves team itself or did you raise a seperate installation request directly with Mi?
I went with jeeves install and got it wall mounted. They did a so-so job as far as i saw, i had to guide them with measurements and also had to pull the cables from concealed wall pipe myself.

I spoke to Helpline and inquired about getting the extended warranty. I was asked to call the Toll Free number of Zopper (Third party).

I was given quotes ~9K for one year and ~13k for 2 years extended warranty.
Did anyone purchase it once you got the deliver?
I think, it was cheaper when it was offered by Mi. Screenshot of the quote attached

Oh. So no EW directly through MI. Their site mentions 3799 for Q1 75 inch TV:

https://www.mi.com/in/service/miextendedwarranty/#miSmarttv

If not MI, then we are good to buy from any of the providers, such as Oneassist, onsitego, zopper etc.

Now, which one is better and worth? Any feedback?

The TV comes with 1 year warranty plus 1 year additional warranty for panel. If we purchase 1 additional year warranty from mi, does it make it 2 years for TV and 3 years for panel or 2 years for the entire TV?

2 from the company and 2 extended.
But there may be something more, maybe after 1 year, the extended may mix with just panel warranty one.
I guess, it will be just 1+2.

I am learning towards buying one from oneassist.

Am not sure whether MI is even selling EW.

Onesitego does for Croma and Oneassist is listed at MI website.

Which one to choose? Interesting dilemma.

Thats correct, I clarified this point. Its 1+2.
As per them MI provides warranty on Panel only, so they are going to cover everything Panel+hardware.

Did you get a quote from Oneassist?

Got a 4 year quote from Gowarranty for 19.5K which I think is a good deal. Repair or replace or reimburse with the fair market value of a similar specification TV at that time (in case repair or replacement not possible)

I have one more query for owners who have been using this tv. While both HDR and Dolby vision content look pretty good ( infact the control over highlights are excellent) , I still am finding issues with HD content. Be it HD channels like NGC or Start Sports or OTT streaming of HD movies , the bright scenes are just way overexposed. I tried reducing backlight level and also brightness level without much success. Is anybody having similar issues. Am I missing out on something

Does this TV supports Dolby Atmos?
If I buy an Atmos soundbar, will it work?
I too am looking for a soundbar , infact as a part of promotional offer my local Samsung Brand store are offering 35k Samsung Sound bar along with QN90A , my choice is between Dolby Atmos equipped Q800T but no rear speakers or a true 5.1 T670 with wireless rear speakers. QN90A does not have Atmos enabled but via eARC can pass through Atmos, it must be the same with MI Q1.

How are the reviews for Gowarranty? Their price looks too good to be true.

I looked at the FAQs of Oneassist and it doesn't cover MI products

Onsitego looks good to me. Let me do further research.

I spoke to Oneassist and they confirmed that they are official partner to MI. So I am going with Oneassist. Also, getting it 2yr for ~10k which is not bad IMO.

I know peace of mind that comes with additional warranty is very reassuring but if a panel has to go bust then it will do so within the first year or 18 months at best. LED panels barring a catastrophic electrical failure should last for good 5-6 years.
