I got the 12,000/71 blue Yamaha-branded Nippon Chemi-cons from Suraj Radio at Ritchie Street.
Arunkumar Electronics sometimes has similar caps - when I checked last, he had Sony ES-branded 15,000uF/71 Nichicon Muse, black with gold stripe for Rs.225 each. However, those caps have tab (rectagular) lugs, not PCB-mount snap-in lugs. He also stocks the blue Yamaha/NCCs with snap-in lugs, from time to time. Both the Nichicon Muse and NCC are A+ grade audio caps.
Swastik on Ritchie Street has a wide range of caps, but not necessarily high-quality Japanese at all times. He has mainly Samwha (old Samsung Electrolytics), which is B-grade Korean stuff.
Advance Micro Components on S.P.Road at Bangalore has Panasonic TS-UP 22,000/50V from time to time. These are good A-grade all-round caps, but not as musical as the Nichicon Muse or Yamaha/NCC. The Pansonics also take a while to burn in, because of the large foil area.
Arihant at Bangalore has a range of high values from time to time, but now has only some Elna 4700/50 and 12,000/63. Both A-grade, and ok for gainclones and similar stuff.
Luxon is a C or D-grade Taiwanese cap, which is lacking in durability as well as sonic quality - it is best avoided. All Taiwanese caps have impure aluminium foils of only 97% purity, compared to the 99.9% purity of the Japanese majors - Rubycon, Nippon Chemi-con, Nichicon, Panasonic/Sanyo, Elna and Hitachi.
If you want the absolute best audio cap, but no longer manufactured, it is the Rubycon/Jelmax Black-Gate FK 10,000 uF/80V. These are only available on EBay now, and the asking price is $470 (US) *per piece*. A pair will set you back about Rs.25k. For that price, I can buy about half-a-dozen assorted pre-owned 2-channel power amps at Ritchie Street, ranging from a Nakamichi IA-3, Onkyo M8000, Technics SU-500/600, Marantz PM-30/53/66, and several Yamahas, Denons and Rotels. I'll also have enough money left over for a Marantz CD-63 SE.
Edit: Vaguely related - I got some 2% Silver solder (balance Sn-Pb) at Rs.70 per 50 gm roll from a solder shop (which sells only soldering materials) in the same corridor of shops where Madras Electronics is located on Ritchie Street. The silver solder is reputed to produce very linear low-resistance ohmic joints because of the excellent electrical properties of the Copper-Silver intermetallic alloy. It can't hurt to try it at that price - it can't be worse than regular 60-40 at any rate.
