Just curious how important this feature would be for an entry level setup like the 3300 and how many of you actively used it.

It offers customization options, but if one were to get an almost identical spec system for about 2-2.5k less due to lack of Audyssey would it make a critical difference for the average HT user?

If it was an optional (paid upgrade) would you have still selected it?

That is a question am looking for Answer too. Onkyo 308 does not have this feature while cheaper avr's of yamah has similar facility.
Anyone one here who can contribute please.

I tried it on my Onkyo 577 and it doesn't work too well. Sound was very very thin. I manually setup everything afterwards and never used Audyssey after the first try.
