When it rains, it pours :D

Some heavy hitters gonna be part of this show. Know a couple of them will be bringing some mighty fine stuff for us to have a demo of.

1 floor of 22 rooms planned so far. If the number of exhibitors increases then we would have 2 floors to work our way through, hopping from room to room :ohyeah:

Let the games begin

Hi Kneo,

Well it would make sense to catch up with fellow FM's during the expo co-ordinate timing & date related schedule, why don't you take the lead for doing so? Mumbai 'factions' can decide & either be part of a 'HFV group' or go 'solo'

Choice is entirely theirs

So we have 2 shows in October from different magazines.
Next year, every 6 month from either organiser will be preferred by hifivians.

You know what the strange thing is ?
5 years - no show.
Suddenly - 2 shows - same month.
How do they [Magazines] expect the D & D's to pay 2 people to exhibit their products in the same city & that too in the same month.
Average Cost to take part is Rs. 200/- K ++ [Minimum]

So for 2 shows - the cost [budget] gets doubled.

We have 150 ++ Brands in India - I could enlist them here - but that will get too long to do - will they come to the Show ?
Will the Parent Company be present ? So that we get to see / listen to top end audio gear in India ?
Goldmund / Meridian / Avalon / PMC / Ascendo / Magico / Playback / Dartzeel / Naim / Jadis / Audio Research / Accuphase / Teac Esoteric / Dynaudio / Focal / Steinway / Octave / Martin Logan / Rockport Technologies / Kef / Quadral / Electrocompaniet etc. etc.
There are so many more in India - I wonder how many will actually take part & on the ones that do - will have a demo room & gear will be played - that too NOT HT;;;

Yamaha / Denon / Bose / Phillips / Marantz / SOny / LG etc. will surely be there in both shows - but the issue is, are they of any interest to us ?

None the less, I am happy that some step is being taken & we have an Audio Show - after so many years & hopefully over the years - things change & improve; I have my fingers crossed & do have hope....
:)

I had enjoyed avmax & Times exhibitions around 2005 in past where I decided to get my first HT.Arrangement was nice that time. Some were special Demo rooms. Also the show repeated by times in 6 months.Hope we get more in future.I know the cost is the factor & so the venue. For AV lovers, its a treat.

Dear Members

What would be the method of entry for visitors/enthusiasts? Do we (common people) have to buy tickets in advance to get the entry into the show or is it free entry?

Please can anyone who knows oh this inform me, since I would like to attend the show. In near future I wish to upgrade my home theatre and view this as a potential opportunity to zero in on my options.

Thanks

Thanks for the info mate!

But where is this Shangri-la hotel situated in Mumbai? They don't have Mumbai in their list except for Delhi & Bangalore(upcoming)..

Regards
Shan

Friends,

I am planning to be in Mumbai on 4-5. Return tickets from Jaipur seem alright now, so will book tonight.
I plan to visit on the 4th and then if need be on 5th.

I am not sure how to buy a pass for the event? If someone has a an idea please let me know.
Though there should be a ticket counter at the venue?

Also, is there a disadvantage in coming for this exhibition over the Whathifi one?
This suits me better, but if the other is going to be significantly better then i can try to plan for that.

The whole purpose of the visit is to audition and if possible meet some people and learn from them.

The first day of such shows tend to be a bit spotty, especially the morning session, as most exhibitors are still unpacking and setting up their stuff.
The second day (5th) morning should be the best time, less crowded than the last day which is a Sunday.
Entry passes are normally available at the venue.
The exhibitor list is probably not yet published, so no idea as to which show will draw which brands. There's unlikely to be much overlapping because of cost issues.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
