Its great to see so much enthusiasm on the forum already about AV shows happening in Mumbai. It looks like it is going to be a gala time for all of us for sure.

We have decided to follow a new format for the show this time. There will be only demo rooms and no display area. So all those who come for the expo, can easily optimise their time in auditioning a number of different products without having to stop anywhere. Also the venue that we have selected is very easily accessible from all the corners of Mumbai without any hassle. So do try and attend the show.

Also, while we are preparing for the Expo, we have a news for all our fellow AV enthusiasts. As most of you must have learnt by now that the print version of AV MAX magazine is closed for now, we now have our website up and running.

While we have changed and adopted new means of communication with our readers, the soul and the core philosophy of the brand AV MAX remains the same. We plan to introduce even more exciting activities through the website and make it more interactive for our industry and the consumers as well.

I had lapsed from AV-MAX for some time, so had no idea that print had stopped. I went through the new site in a bit of a hurry, but first impressions are really positive.

Hey, you have not mentioned the SHOW DATES AND SHOW VENUE ANYWHERE ON THE SITE !!!!!

Further, after completing the Online registration to attend the show:

1. I did not receive an option to print out my entry pass and bring to the site.

2. It did not tell me that my Show pass will be ready in advance for collection at site.

It simple told me: "Thank You for Registration. You have submitted your details successully.."

I am not sure in what way i have benefited by Online registration, after sharing my full details to add to your database ???

The Show site seems to require MUCH more thought and work..... :sad:

Canceling a show 7 days before the event is Unprofessional.

It is compounded by the fact that they have not even clarified this on their website.

Sure way to loose creditablity.... haveing visitors come from Far away to the site and being told by the Hotel Staff " What Show ? "

Definitely having two shows in the same month is a little risky. Of course this should have been handled differently and proper information given well in advance. I would imagine there have been shipments already made from overseas that are on their way as we speak.

The other show was announced much earlier and so the dealers were not interested perhaps.As I said earlier,if we get an Expo every six month,it will be great for us.

This is the 3rd time that the show got canceled.First time I was in BKC searching the Expo location,then another FM confirm that show got canceled.Last time it was on Holi festival and obviously not a good idea.

Possible but Infomedia 18 the company behind AV Max are choke artists as far as I am concerned. I advertise on premium positions in their manufacturing publications and their data is bogus. I don't think they have a real reach of the market (as they claim themselves to have) - again from my work with them in my day job.
