Azur 640P Phono Pre-Amplifier Modification.

Ordered Azur 640P Phono Pre-Amplifier from SKS Traders. And after reading long VinylEngine 640P modification thread I will decide to modify my 640P.I ordered some electrolytic capacitor from hificollective.co.uk all are Nichicon KZ FG ES series and some are ELNA SLIMIC II. :yahoo:

It is impossible to replace all caps because 640p stock cap are very small (very low quality) size and nichicon kz are very big size.

Ya that's true. You can try DIY CNC Phono if you are using only MM cartridge. It is suppose to sound better than even a modded 640P.

Hi, is it possible to change the input impedanz?
I want to use the 640p with the denon dl 304. The denon has 40 Ohm,
so the mc input with 100 ohm is to low.
Did anybody know which resistors are to change to get a impedanz from
1K ohm.
Sorry for my bad english.
Kind regards Peter

If you post on Hypnotoad's 640p thread on audiokarma, I am sure you will
have an answer.

For excellent sound that won't break the bank, the 5 Star Award Winning Wharfedale Diamond 12.1 Bookshelf Speakers is the one to consider!
