I do had the same thinking regarding high price of TS packages. But I came to know from somebody about Supreme Sports Pack @ 1200 for the whole year. It was March 2012 when my previous monthly subscription ended in late feb. 2012. And my kids exams were to be scheduled in March 2012. So I decided I will recharge my account after the exams i.e. after 25th March 2012. Meanwhile I started getting calls from customer care regarding the recharge of my pack, but I told them that I will recharge after my kid's exams. Surprisingly they began to offer me some special offer/ discount such as If I recharge for 3 months then my monthly pack of 250 ( appx) . I dont remember exact amount, will cost me 220 and If I recharge for 6 months it will cost me Rs. 200. But this was a limited time offer ( as told by TS customer care executive). But I didn't want to recharge due to the exams of my kids. But Luckily I met with a person in the last week of march 2012 and shared all these concerns. He told me to call TS customer care and to ask that I want to recharge my account annually for Supreme Sports pack which is available at Rs.1200 and TS executive told me to hold the call while she confirms the same from her senior. And after some time she told me that the same pack was availabe for me. But she told further that this Pack is now revised and now is called Supreme Sports Special pack @ 1500 for the whole year and also include either 4 cartoon channels or 2 cartoon channels with Star movies and AXN. I decided to go for 2 cartoon with Star Movies and AXN. So, Now enjoying the service at a Discount.
So Guys you too can try as the Tata Sky commercial says " poochhne me kya jata hai "
). Going by these GREEDY practices of TS (or any other service provider for the matter), I am some what inclined to go for Hathway HD from the local cable guy itself.
