CA DACMagic PSU overheating

I picked this up fromthe whathifi forum UK. Thought it would be nice to update potential CA DACMagic buyers and current owners about this issue.

CA has in fact replaced the faulty PSU's of those DACMagics which had this problem. At the end of the thread the CA CEO has also spoken about the issue and talks about the steps he has taken to rectify it.

you are talking about the Beresford DAC if I am not mistaken; I was talking about the Cambridge Audio DAC Magic.

OK, I m sorry,but ext powersupply generally tends to get hot as they are compact,no airflow...

I have my power supplies designed and built specially for me. But the DacMagic power supply is one they buy off the shelf from other companies. My power supplies don't run hot, let alone overheat.
