hi guys,

can i connect Bic Acoustech PL-200 II to my yamaha 1840 receiver? it has a pre-out Sub port so wanted to check if this one can match the output of 1840.
Also if yes, what would be the best crossover frequency for best results?

If the Yamaha 1840 has a sub out, you can easily hook it up.

There are ample videos which guide on best crossover frequency available on Youtube...idea frequency would be obviously 10hz to 20 hz more than the setting kept for the main or front speakers.

You can always try the standard 80hz and then slowly increase to 100 or 120hz.......try different settings and see what sounds good for you.

If the Yamaha 1840 does not have sub out port then you can hook up the PL 200 using the High Level speaker connections....refer to the manual on how this needs to be done...for this way then you need to adjust the crossover located behind on the subwoofer amp panel
