I ordered 4 blu-rays from him from him before reading the posts here. If I am not satisfied I will open a case with ebay. I have sent him a message saying that do not ship if they are not original with HD sound tracks, and I will return if he sends me pirated stuff.

There is a difference in dealing 'with' original movies and dealing 'in' original movies. he he :lol:

We get pirated Blu Rays here for Rs. 200 - 250. I never bought one so cant comment on the quality.

yes correct these are malysian bootleg, I was almost sure because of the price, still didn't want to conclude publickly without hearing the words from the horse's mouth.....we all should keep away from pirated stuff, specially when the original BDs are available in abundance....but one thing I must admit the studios and our Govt. should rethink their pricing policy.....how can one buy each original film @ 900/-.....thats serious money....then comes regions......so do these studios want BDs to reach an ordinary person without 6 digit pay slip?? I guess currently they don't bother

I have seen with advent of Moserbaer (am not pleading for quality) pirated market has got a dent as now anyone can buy a reasonable dvd at an affordable price, I don't think every time I want to see a film I have to spend 700/- or more

1.What is the ratio a standard BD film to the average income of a person - its ridiculously high in India compared to US,UK....
2.Theres no organized film rent chain exists in India - so no luck in renting and seeing a film
3.Pirated stuffs are sold in open daylight everywhere - every Metro,city and even ebay.in is not spared, how come these imported bootlegs are allowed to be sold? the bottom line is many many vendors making money illegally while genuine consumers in search of originals keep bleeding

my guess is if BDs continue to keep its prices its not the original that will become popular it will the bootlegs that will soon flood the market

I hae ordered many from amazon.co.uk but even after a month I am yet to receive any. I got a set of matrix movies from amazon.com but they look not much better than pirated in terms of box/ packaging. I got a few BRs from local store (I think musicland) where some were on 30% discount and some were 799 flat.

till now I have ordered 8 BDs (it is less because of the reason mentioned below) from amazon UK and 1 from amazon US, and the story goes like this

amazon UK
first 4 BDs with super saver - didn't arrive in 50 day - contacted - they re dispatched - only 1 arrived and rest 3 never reached me - got refunds for 3

then 2 BDs w/o super saver - didn't arrive in 50 days - contacted - they re dispatched - only 1 arrived and rest 1 never reached me - got refunds for 1

then 2 BDs - not yet dispatched - hope again they will be lost and will get refunds

am continuing because their customer care is prompt,helping,cordial and I don't lose anything other than months

moreover I told them several times - some loopholes with the carrier, but they are bound with their mutual commitments, for assurance till now I have purchased many many items from flipkart,rhythmhouse,indiancddvd,ebay India,US,UK and never lost a single stuff, so the reasons for the mishaps are beyond my comprehension, quite a precarious situation!

Got the BR disks. Looks like pirated stuff to me. have a sticker on top that says says 25GB bluray king.

Still some time before I go home and check HD audio tracks etc.

I hope they have the HD tracks, also check the resolution, if all is fine no need to return, keep them with you and later sale them when you wish

I find it difficult to digest someone is selling pirated stuff in ebay.in, do the guys who matter most know it??

BTW I have no idea what to do with the BDs that I have watched and don't want to see them again, sell them at a loss??? this is the sole reason I am hesitant in developing a collection, what say?

good news - I checked monster inc - HD audio track was indeed there. Bad thing, while playing it suddenly skipped a whole chapter.
Worst part - Tangled, while playing, suddenly stopped playing and showed jumbled screen. Player is not recognizing the disk anymore and throwing it out.

It is pirated for sure, as the Thor BR I got says triple play (BR + DVD + download) but there is no dvd inside.
I am returning it.
