Hi All,
After getting a bigger house am planning to set up a projector for my existing home theatre.

Here is what I have:
Onkyo 609 receiver
Paradigm CT 100 5.1 speakers
46 inch LED TV, WD Media player etc

I have done some research , demos and considering below options
Epson TW 6100 (1.2 lac) Epson TW 5200 (96 K) Benq w 1070 (95 K).
I think I would go for Epson 6100 , and Screen that my AV guy is offering me is
Vue max PSAA120-120" (9' X 5') 16:9 Tubulor motor Screen,with remote control
planning to expand this to 7.1 he is offering me 3 Paradigm CS-60R, In-ceiling Surround speaker
Usage : ,mainly Movies

Questions I have :

  1. 2. Is Epson 6100 TW a good choice in my budget which is around 1 lac ? am I getting a good deal 1.2 lac in pune ? Should I consider any other projectors
  2. 4. Is Vuemax a good brand ? it is certainly cheap than grand view
  3. 1. This set up would be in Living room , 18 Feet * 23 Feet . with ample ambient light. Would this be an issue? Plan attached, One wall opposite screen is actually a complete sliding windows (15 + feet) and curtains are not blackout . don't really want to get blackout curtains unless its must.

Hi Rahul
have been using the 6100 for the last one year. Its a fantastic pj. The screen that I use is a grandview 120 inch 16:9 manual. Only problem is the weight of the screen which makes it a difficult mount. I use the pj in my living room with plenty of ambient light which is no issue for this pj.

A cousin wants to buy the 6100 asap...so if you interested then this dealer will bring it down to 1,06,000 as we will buy 2

Hi, I need some advise on whether to buy Epson TW5200 or W6100. Both provide good sharpness. difference is in contrast ratio which is not much noticed. what is noticed is that 6100 is more brighter which is due to lumens. the only issue with 6100 is its big size, now one can either use it as a +ve with people thinking what a big professional projector it is or -ve wherein others wold think that the projector size is too big and bulky as compared to the quite compact TW5200.

Sorry was on vacation for last 15 days ... saw you post just now.... I already had bought the PJ before going on vacation... for 1.2 lac.
However dealer added one more 3D glasses which probably has turned this in a fair deal.

anyways the Projector is fantastic !
