Hi All,

I finally picked up Hitachi PJ TX-100 on my birthday which was yesterday. Its awesome just amazing out of the box. I havent purchased a screen yet but even the images it projected on my orange colour wall looked breathtaking. I have attached some pics of my modest HT. My current set up looks like this

Amp - Yammy RXV-450 : Pretty old, needs upgrade
PJ- Hitachi PJ TX-100, it will be atleast 4-5 years when I go full HD
Centre - Mordaunt Short
Surrounds - Mordaunt Short Bipoles
Front - very old local Towers, needs immediate upgrade, most likely MS 904i
Sub - none yet, seriously considering Paradigm DSP 3100
Screen - not done yet, most probably I'll buy good fabric and go DIY

Just ensure you keep the projector covered when not in use, as if it gathers dust it will require cleaning, you will get to know dust has settled when u see dust blobs on the image or patches coming up, usually depending upon usage cleaning may be required once in 6 months or whenever u see dust blobs appearing .

Anyways you have 1 year warranty so they will service and clean the same in case any issues comes up ...

Micjak,

How would you rate your projector (I know you love it) with say an Optoma HD65?

The contrast, which is believe is 1200:1 - do you think it handicaps it?

If you can please post a short review of it. I am looking for a projector myself, a budget one and your feedback would be most useful.

TIA.
