Great Tasting Vinyl

Another surprise find of good recording is a T-Series (Surprising as they were churning out cheap cassettes at that time) Vinyl of Dr. Anita Sen. All compositions are good but I like 'jhamaki jhamki ayee badariya'. Also to be noted is Recording Engineers name (Mr. N. K. Sampat) Recording is superb. And I think she is a Parsi. Sadly no info on the net. The lady has Lovely voice....

So guys if you find one grab it :)

Little Feat is another excellent choice for that style of music. I only have "The last record album" though, not one of their best

Just listening to another hard to get album on vinyl...

L. Subramanium & Stephane Grapelli - Conversations

Surprisingly I got this one from the US. Haven't seen this on here...

I remember that my dad had it on tape (actually, he still does!). It was a constant companion, along with a McCoy Tyner tape, when I was preparing for my Xth board exams so, so many years ago!

You won't find this on tape or CD. I have looked high and low with no luck. Used to have this on tape. One hell of a collaboration as Indo-Western fusions go.

Conversations is easily available on cd. You can get it at Amazon. I had bought mine several years back from Rhythm House

Thanks Rajiv. I have been meaning to order the John Fogerty cd. Seeing your YouTube link hastened the process.

The Django Reinhardt/Stephane Grapelli partnership is legendary.
Do you guys have that on vinyl?
Take a deep pull and groove to some classy music :)

I actually do have one of the Stephane & Reinhardt collaborations on Vinyl:

DJango Reinhardt/Stephane Grappelly with The Quintet of the Hot Club of France
A glorious MONO recording in MINT condition (both Cover and Vinyl) from the late 40s/early 50s.

Great recording and superb music.

Here is a song from there:

I have two more solo Vinyls of Django! He's one of my fav's!

One of the ONLY two 'great' guitarists of the 20th century Andres Segovia plays "Asturias" a composition by Isaac Manuel Francisco Albinez y Pascual. The other 'great' guitarist is Julian Bream.
Jim Morrison and The Doors dared to tread in waters where they were completely out of their depth when they adapted the music to 'Spanish Caravan'.I think even Iron Maiden attempted something but I have not heard it.
