would like to add, i d love it if one of us or few of us in group design the cover. instead of featuring arr it should rather focus on highlighting the forum name too. having a hanging in the space type handles of the first commissioning fms in rear or in inside jacket would be awesome.
Hi PremProblem in India is while mastering CDs they kill the dynamics because they want it to play loud. The original digital master normally sounds superb. The problem comes when they master it for CDs. Since the original digital master will be used and no compression will be introduced at the time of making the master for cutting the lacquer, I expect the vinyl to sound better. For example Adele 21 has a dynamic range of 6 to 8 on cd whereas the dynamic range on vinyl for the same album is 9 to 12
I think we will reach the target. As said earlier can you please post original masters the saregama co is having ? Also if possible I will be interested if they know addresses of recording engineers and vinyl cutters. Indian vinyl mastering and cutting technics, their equipments, their process is important to know and document. And these old experienced technicians information will be very useful.Wish we could reach the target soon. Many wanted analogue recording which is not possible for albums post 1994 if iam right. Spoke with distributors or sellers of records in Tamilnadu they said they cannnot buy upfront but ready to sell atleast 30 numbers of each LP.
I think i should invest on their behalf. Its a wait and watch and how much will i able to invest. If i had that much of available money wish i could do the project for regional languages..........
