Hi Experts,

I have a Sony Bravia EX410 model LED with Bravia 3 engine.

do i need a AV Receiver with upscalling feature for viewing it in 1080p or the Bravia 3 engine is capable of upscalling the video to 1080p by itself?

If my Sony Bravia EX410 is capable of performing the upscalling function to 1080p then i can go for a CHEAPER AV Receiver.else i have to go for Denon 1912 which i suppose is the cheapest with Upscalling feature.

Your comments are highly appreciated.
Regards,
Prakash.

Your TV will upscale better than the video chip in the AVR. Best to let the TV upscale instead of the AVR.

^ Its actually subjective and either can give you better result and we really cant predict. Some AVRs are known to have excellent upscalers and others are worst then your TV. Same applies to each TV model. There is NO GENERAL approach. You will have to see the reviews or test it yourself. However, you don't really need to buy an AVR for this specific reason when TV also does the job.
