I am building a home theatre room at my place and the room dimensions are 10*14*10. Thinking about these at the moment LR- Q acoustics 3030i, Centre-3090ci, surrounds 3010i, AVR-Denon X2700H or Yamaha A2A.
Sub- budget 50k
Torn between QB12 or 2x Yamaha NSW300. Budget is strictly limited to 55k (pushed it from 40k)

Yamaha sw300 is meant for very small rooms say 80-110 sqft. Look at 12 inch subs in 40-50k budget. Few subs that are decent in that budget are Bic and Polk.

Recently my friend got a better deal from the above web link people through Indiamart. QB12 price below 50000/-. Try this. He is going to buy the same package as yours from them

As per online reviews, QB12 performs equally well for both movies and music. On any day, I would go with it over NSW300.

u can look for polk hts12
hts12 outperforms in movie with qb12 if your content consumption is more than 70% movie.
Friend of mine(fellow hifi memeber) have hts12 in his dedicated HT setup which is really gud
more over it will be well within your budget

I have both QB12 and BIC PL300, BIC digs down deep and punches good.
QB12 is fast, precise very very good for music. You might feel the sub disappear with your QA speakers.

If movies is main criteria go for a ported sub, do audition BIC PL300 if possible, one of FM got it delivered today itself.

QB12 if more into music.

Taking the room size into consideration, QB12 fits the bill or BIC would overpower the room? I am inclined towards QB12 to handle the lower end while letting the 3030i's breathe from 50-60hz

I don't feel subwoofers would overpower, the calibration would keep everything in check.
If you have heard the QB12 and like it, go for it. It is a very good subwoofer.
But I did miss out the extreme low end frequencies from it, the rumble which is needed for movies.
But the punch and precision of the QB12 was very very good, even without calibrating the QB12 performed superbly for music. My friend who came to check the QB12, was literally going near the subwoofer to check if it is working, it was that good.

I don't use subwoofers for music at all as I have QA3050i, which produce enough accurate bass.

BIC PL300 is super powerful, first initial testing caused my windows to rattle and could feel the bass all over my body. This was not felt in QB12, i have calibrated the BIC now and at 35% volume now. Loving it every bit. Not overpowering but ample bass to make you feel it.

Both have its use cases, thats why I said,
QB12 is more inclined towards music, BIC is movies only.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
