Finally received my HiMedia 600B (built-in WIFI) for 8500Rs (no further discount) from Detna.com (Raghu).
I saved on shipping by collecting it myself (His office is on my way to workplace).
Thanks for Kittu's advice, I have upgraded to Wifi model.
The Raghu(seller) informed that he has received only 10 orders till date.
Its time to spread good word about him, and also get benefited by requesting him to import more items.

Congratulations. I'm waiting for my hd600b wifi. Please post your initial impressions after testing it. As for Reghu he is a good fellow to deal with. Thanks to kittu, he gave me the player for the initial price. We can request him for more gadgets.

Once I get my hd600b I intend to do some DIY like installing YAMJ etc. Perhaps himedia owners with programming skills can help here.

Measy X6 also has Realtek 1185, USB 3.0, GbE, with front screen etc.
Just saw the Measy X6 on weekly deals in ebay. Now is still HiMedia 600B for 8.5K is worth (which I already bought).

Measy X6 was selling for over 9K a week back. That is why I placed order for the himedia. Since both measy x6 and himedia hd600b are based on the same chipset, they will have the same functionality. Measy X6 has a card reader, but no esata port.The remote has learning keys to control TV etc. Wifi dongle you will have to buy additional. hd600b is a fanless model and so is silent.

You were right. I too saw it for 9.5K. But at 7K price, Measy X6 seems to be too good. Only major difference is no Wifi and no touch sensitive buttons. The learning remote of X6 is not a big deal.
As of now I already have 3 remotes to conquer (TV, STB, PS3). I am planning to buy a good universal remote.
Looks of HiMedia 600B is very good.
But Measy X6 is also a fanless model.

I think a good wifi dongle will cost another 1K.
From the pics, I thought, x6 has fan. Anyway you don't need to worry. himedia 600b has other features not available in x6 like touch VFD, esata, fanless design, a different HDD slot and most of all a dedicated develop center and a forum too.

Measy X6 comes with a USB 3.0 cable while himedia hd600b doesn't. How are you connecting it to your PC? I intend to use a LAN cable for transferring my data. Also, what is the firmware version of the player? Do we need to update?

The detna guy informed me that he is getting seagate hdds. His price is 2750/- for 1TB and 3900/- for 2TB including shipping charge. This price is the lowest I got. Interested ones can contact him. Detna Shop

The USB 3.0 cable with Measy X6 is part optional accessories, check the official website.
I have connected iHiMedia 600B through LAN.
Edit: Firmware version is older one. As suggested by Kittu we need to update with newer firmware (stable/beta). First we have download the image and perform steps provided in user Manual.

As pointed out by other forum member, the HiMedia 600B is a fanless design. So heat-up issues could occur when using regular (hi-speed) HDD.
If anyone is planning to buy an HDD for HiMedia, should go for Green HDD only. (Already informed it to Raghu(Detna))

I already ordered a 1TB WD green HDD for Rs. 2890/- from ebay. But if I need another HDD to upgrade my desktop, his price is the best. For a 1TB seagate HDD, I was quoted Rs.3.5k+tax by a reputed IT seller here.
