Initial setup of lg 32ld650

My father got delivery of the tv today evening. Attached the desktop stand & connected the tv to set-top box. I got a clear white screen with a small text box showing "power mode v x.xx.xx ". It is not going into the menu or initial setup. Did not respond to remote or pressing of the menu button.

Am I missing any steps?

The LG technicians turned up today. They talked to their tech support & then did the following:-

Pressed the back/return button on the remote. Then reset it to factory settings. Problem was solved.

Just in case anybody faces similar problems.
