Purchased Few assorted consumables, neodymium magnet(grill for Encore BS and possibly for the sub) , soft hammer ( need to fix a big dent on alto ), Woodcarving sets. polishing kit etc. will post a snapshot.
also picked up the Circular saw ( the same unit we used at Bosch training) - this was from HM Tools. migrating from Electrex.

As of now, I feel comfortable working on "temp" workbench for small woodworking, and as most of the work I had done, I felt the "garage floor" was the best/optimal solution to most of the needs.
Workbench becomes necessary for router kind related work - so contemplating, but in the long run , I may have to part with couple of bikes in the garage to keep this.

While i was viewing them, it looked as if the pics werent ordered properly, some of them were repeating quite a few times.
@those who missed out, but are interested: Let us start another list and organise one more training. The folks at Bosch were more than willing to organise these sessions. I am happy co-oridnate this time around.
Ah I see, I uploaded the pics multiple times over an intermittent internet connection via photobucket iPhone app. I meant to post pics with a one liner for each pic but can't do that until my home internet issue gets resolved.

Bosch visit is great (you get to see a lot of tools), but I am doubtful about its utility. I was thinking of a more intensive workshop for people who want to try out the tools without having to look at the watch. They could even bring their wood and build their speakers. This would be primarily aimed at folks who want to do it themselves but are unsure about their ability to pull it off and need guidance. I have been talking to Rajat and he is fine with the idea of conducting workshops for small groups at his place.
If anyone has a garage or a work area where is willing to throw open once every few months, we could move things to the next level. The participants could even pay (actually they should) to use the tools and the space.
Needless to say, being an apartment dweller I can't offer anything other than words at this point
I think the Bosch workshop was good in that, we were introduced to various tools and briefed and demonstrated as to what it does. It provides a basic platform from where we can build based on our interest - which I am sure is different for every individual .
.Great idea! I am happy to host the first/second (if first is at Rajat's place) session at my place. Have a garage with lots of waste plywood/mdf from my previous builds. Have a drill, router, circular saw & jig saw. Anything else, members can bring.

Actually, let me not jump the gun. Not sure how many are still following this thread but I would love to hear from people who want to go further down the woodwork DIY path and need help.

Looks like my last post has created some confusion. Could you guys indicate if you are interested in another day at Bosch or an intensive full day hands on workshop.
