Is it a Good buy?

Hi Folks,

I got a quote as follows

Rotel RA-05 - RS 21K (with 2 yrs replacement warranty)
Polk Audio Monitor 50 - 14K (with 2 yrs replacement warranty).

So, should i buy the setup with the above quote or is it in the higher side.

Hope to get some answers soon, so that i can act accordingly.

They seem to be phased out models, specially the polks. I am surprised to see a replacement warranty.

Rotel RA-05 has good price as RA-04 new has MRP of 32k in Mumbai.

So should i Buy the rotel and dump the Polk? I dont know how good they will sound. But hope it will be much better than my old sony hifi(so called)... If so, then which speakers would be good for the amp? Budget 15K -20K max..

I am not sure about the monitors you mentioned , but polk RTI series do sound very well or else you can check KEF IQ 50 or IQ 70, But they are little higher side.

With Rotel,you can think of Tannoy F1,B&W & Dali laktor.

before you buy anything i hope you have auditioned to a few different brands. if you havent pl do so. you'll get a better idea of whats out there and what is to your liking. esp in this range all brands have their own sound signatures and different people have different likings based on their listening habits, etc. matching the amp to the speakers is also very important
