Not looking for separate AV receivers n speakers since I'll put in the money for the best in class later on.

I've gone thru many HTIB's n found the following I like:

1. Denon 1312XP 5.1 Home Theatre package with The SYS1312 speakers
2. Yamaha YHT497BL 5.1 Home Theatre package - new n deviated towards it
3. Pioneer HTP-521 5.1 Home Theatre package
4. Harman Kardon - ? Suggestions
5. JBL ?
6. Onkyo HT-3400/3500? - I know that there are problems with these systems n often see many goin back to get fixed up, so not a fan - suggestion for any good model?

Would greatly value ur suggestions. :ohyeah::ohyeah:

I am a Onkyo 6200 owner, been using it for 2 years now, extensively, no issues, never had the need to send it back .......decent performer as far as mid range HTIB goes .

Off the above I have listened to Denon one and it was pretty good, except, I felt the bass of my Onkyo 6200 sub more hitting than the Denon one.

Rest others can comment. Forget Sony/Samsung, they should not be even in the list ....

Thnx a lot for ur reply. Base would be an imp factor for me.

Of the above HTIB which would do best, n I'm looking for a newer system.

you might want to have a look at your budget again...........if you can stretch it a bit you should be able to get an entry level receiver from either Marantz, Denon, Onkyo + 5.1 satellite speaker system. This would sound better than the above HTIB systems.

Another Onkyo HTIB user and for years. Never had a problem and I use it for hours at a time... both for Tata Sky and for movies with DVDP and WDTV.

If not Onkyo then consider a HTIB from Yamaha. Onkyo's deliver best bang for buck but Yamaha too is good especially on a budget.
