I have an old Blaupunkt MP47 in my old car which has a very reasonable performance. Since last few months, there has been an issue where the front detachable panel has stopped working. None of the buttons, including the volume control work. Only the power button on the panel works. However, I took the front panel apart and after cleaning it with isopropyl alcohol, it started working flawlessly- only to be again become unresponsive in an hour or so. Can anyone suggest if this thing is repairable as I don't want to invest for a new music system in an otherwise old car which the Govt can pull from roads anytime.
Another issue is the front car door speakers which seem to rattle even at lower volumes. Is this a problem with speakers, head unit or just a bad installation of speakers?
