OLED TV's price/best quote thread

This is getting me worried and thinking of dropping the idea of getting the c8k 75in and get the g5 65in instead
Now, I am on the same line of thought.
I again had a chat with TCL for the C8K and they gave an email id for purchase assistance. Lo and behold, the mail to that id bounces back because the mailbox is full. So again I chat with them and tell about mail bounce, this time they tell me that the product is out of stock and don't know when it will be available.
Their operations are shady and show no sign of confidence.
Unable to get off the fence!!

C8K has launched in India and people have picked it from the TCL Brand Store directly. I personally know one who picked a 75 inch in Bengaluru TCL Brand Store. You can keep following Maharshtra Electronics or Vijay Sales for prices in Mumbai.
Maharashtra Electronics is clueless about the C7K and upwards.

Do your online research and offline foot work before deciding

I compared mini-led and oled in a store side by side. There is no way I will be buying a mini-led.
Play some Jennifer Gala youtube hdr content, that's what I did, the sales folks were happy to do so.

Which mini led did you compare it to? I have done my research online and everything seems good with the c8k except the motion, will go the store soon and check.

I compared the Samsung neo qled to Samsung oleds. Most scenes are fine, but some dark scenes, it becomes very apparent.

I have always bought Sony TVs due to reliability, my current OLED lasted 7 years before its screen gave out (I expected at least 10, but hey). Do I get similar reliabilities with Samsung or LG? Just asking, because I am very tempted to go with G5.
Panel on my LG CX has already been replaced twice, thanks to 2+ 3 years warranty. As per LG technician, C series have very high replacement rates compared to G, but this could be just due to volumes. And, this is irrespective to model i.e. CX, C1, C2 or C3. I bought it as part of a group buy and majority of our panels were replaced, some had issues with WiFi module. Folks who didn't buy extended warranty are now sitting with dead panels.
I believe TVs won't last for more than 5 years, when ideally they should complete 10 years.
Please buy extended warranty.

Got today 65" LG G5. After lot of bargaining, finally boiled down to 1.64L

Store: Bajaj Electronics, Hyderabad
@nitin88g Congratulations!
Does referral code path came of any help?
Did you check for 77" as well? what is the best price for Lg G5 77" to look for post GST cuts. Any specific festival season offers.... Thanks in advance.

I purchased TCL C8K 85inch from Amazon on 23rd for 2.51L. While scrolling through all the horror stories in TCL TVs amazon reviews about aftersales I called TCL customer service to enquire about extended warrenty. It seems the brand itself is not confident in it's products that it wont sale any extended warrenty and one has to buy it from third party which is a gamble. Canceled the order on the same day and started looking for something else. For me TCL is not worth even if they are offering good product on paper.
