OLED TV's price/best quote thread

Reliance Orion mall. He wasn't pushing so much for emi and the price was after ICICI cc cashback. He said the prices might drop for Deepavali.
I have don’t mind either EMI or a single swipe, honestly. ₹1.75L is already a great deal, and I’m sure if we group up, we can push it even lower. I’m also planning to pick up the Samsung Q990F soundbar, which they were offering for around ₹76K. Let’s team up and buy together, like you said, prices will likely drop further around Diwali!

Reliance is pushing hard to sell S95f instead of G5. Most reviews highlight LG as the better TV but side by side comparison with inbuilt presets displays Samsung with better color, details, matte finish providing zero reflections. I noticed that S95F runs cool and has significantly lesser heat dissipation from the panel compared to lg G5. The display might show different results after calibration though. I am also inclined towards G5. 1.6L with single swipe CC would be a good deal. LG showroom quoted 2.01 L with 1 year accidental damage insurance and 2 more years of warranty. The sales rep mentioned that some dealers are selling demo pieces after resetting the hours run. Sales rep in one store mentioned that the prices might drop on 2 oct and during Deepavali. 1.75L was the quoted price for G5 without much bargain. Group buy might bring the prices lower.
Yep, very hard. They kept saying Dolby Vision makes no difference on the G5 🙃 and throwing in the usual burn-in talk. But I can’t compromise on Dolby Vision since I have an Xbox and most OTT platforms support it. Even if the difference is minor, it still makes more sense to go with the G5. On paper, the G5 panel should also last longer. In movie mode, I didn’t find the colors on Samsung overly punchy, but in standard mode they felt like typical Samsung mobile pictures — way too oversaturated. The reds in particular can get unbearable. If someone wears a red jacket, it just becomes an eyesore. That said, the Samsung screen is still gorgeous to look at 🫠 and the One Connect box really simplifies the wiring mess.

I had the same dilemma, over the next 5 years dolby vision isn't making to make any difference.
All the Oleds are way brighter than most content you will consume.

And now all streaming sites support hdr10+

Dolby vision shines when you have a really old tv and the content is graded far above the TV capabilities. And this is not happening right now.

Getting Bravia 7 65 inch for 1.42L post all offers and cashback. Good deal?
For that price, I would try get an LG c5 at diwali, way better tv when considering the capability of the panel.
Sony is ofcourse a great tv. But we have no idea where the lcd panel is sourced from. It could be from csot, or similar suppliers.
Compared to that, I would be a lot more confident on a oled produced by LG's state of art facility.

@Trevor Penn @arkadeep85 looking for a 65”, leaning towards G5, I’m up for group up, also if possible please share your best quotes y’all got. I got 1.9L for G5 and 1.58L for S95F. This is Reliance Digital.
Hey Guys quick update.
Picked up the TV Samsung S95F & Q-series Soundbar - Q990F from Croma Carmellarama.
Got at much lesser price at reliance on TV but they didn't had the speaker so have to let it go.

The deal was bundled ~2.35L the TV was around 1.61L and the balance for the speaker.
Let me know if you’d like to connect with the sales guy - Nitin [Phone number can be shared on request]. Honestly, awesome service and a true salesperson he completely sold me on it - :)

Was the Tv 1.61L before or after cash back?

Thanks.

I’m in the same boat — torn between Croma or Reliance Digital. I also want the Q990F soundbar, but it’s out of stock at Reliance right now. Reliance does throw in better discounts though

This is why S95F over G5 this year

much better results (with new fw) than VE shoot-out but finishing last below Pana which uses the same panel(LG gets to cherry-pick panels) is just not on, clearly shows LG struggling with its software to tame the new 4 RGB Tandem OLED panel, tad surprised with Samsung finishing @ 2.
LG C5 makes more sense given G5 issues.

Is everyone going for some kind of extra warranty on these expensive OLEDs?

Please mention any warranty included or negotiated whole mentioning the quotes.

got a best quote of ₹1,00,000 for LG C5 55" from local LG showroom (run by unilet)
Should I wait until Diwali ? The showroom guys mentioned that the offer won't change although availability might be an issue near the festival.
