 do you really need to do this ? :p but I would still think KEFs

Oh & forgot to mention about the Energy RC50's too :D

They were paired with Marantz PM7003/CD6003 & Monster 16 Guage OFC speaker cables...

Will discuss about my experiences in detail later, now need to crash & dream of them lovely winners as right now NO FULOOS!!! :(

And the head bangers have a winner! Kudos to Denom for the initiative.

So what are you waiting for, let the cat out of the bag, or speaker out of the crate!
System audio, Monitor 9, Kef iq90?

hope the Golden ears guess is right :yahoo:

I am guessing the ML 12. I just heard the paradigms 7 and 9 in the morning. I am guessing the ML may be more suited for denoms kind of music.

Where did you audition paradigms in bangalore ? Tell me please.:)

sud98, would love to hear your impressions on the same. I ve not heard the mls personally, but the opinion seems to be good. However i never got the impression they would be good for heavy metal.

So true my dear brother so true.... in fact can safely say that they (ML Motion 10 & 12) are some of the worst speakers I have ever heard:o (as far as hard rock/metal genres are concerned)

So Brother Titus, which one in your highly respected opinion should be the winner ? Will give a proper breakdown of each speaker after your answer :D

Shall i be sadistic & stretch the outcome

Or shall i do a 'FM' style thread extension;)

I leave that to you

Kefs -- no
ML - no
Energy - no chance

That leaves only two main brands .. Paradigms and System audio... Read a lot on System audio speakers last night on google ..... And it seems to have done quite well with Rock to Heavymetal music..;)

Denom bro, I did give a list which I thought 'may' be the order of your rating. So now the ball is in your court!

Sorry Bro, did not read carefully! Close but no cigar:D

System Audio were a revelation but have some flaws which could not be overlooked! Pretty heavy speakers for their size & shape though:cool:

Why Energy have no chance??? FYI, they are made by Klipsch, so that itself should say something my friend;)

But, they are runners up in this competition:lol:

So now that the winner is revealed, let me get onto sharing my listening experience about each of the speakers auditioned, but before that a side note:

Side Note:

Following are my findings on the attitude & general view of the establishments that I visited:-

The Den:

Nice Demo Room, lots of gears to demo 2channel & HT Set-ups. Interacted with Mr. Pawan, who was nice to interact with, gave all the necessary info on the products even via the handy ipad! He let me take my time to demo all the speakers & amps that he had, cheerful helpers too, who kept lugging the various speakers in & out of the demo room. Would definately recommend him for anyone interested in getting a good demo/hopefully he will give good deals on the pricing as well. I did not seriously discuss any pricing with him @ the time of the demo. Extremely Demo Friendly!

Thump:

Nice Demo Room, interacted with Mr. Sameer who was very attentive & ready to answer my queries. Pricing yet again not seriously discussed, but then did not go with intention of purchasing the Energy's. Focus on HT & 2 Channel equally divided. Demo Friendly!

PRO FX:

Plenty of speakers/amps lying disconnected. Sales staff not very well versed with the products. Was handed the complete products brochure with pricing & that was it. Focus more on HT, Not demo friendly!

So:
#3.Kef 1q90
#2.Energy
and the #1. speaker for heavy metal from Denoms Head bangers best friend countdown is.....

Bro, that Undisputed No.1 has not been crowned yet, reason being they have to go head to head with the Klipsch RF62's & F2's:yahoo::clapping::licklips:
That will be a most interesting & entertaining bout of a serious MOSH PIT!!!

INTO THE PITTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
