Hi,
System of my pics and small room are attached please suggest me acoustic treatment. Looking to treat first reflection points and bass traps in corners + anything else that would help.

thanks in advance

Congratulations on the Ascends. Room looks clean and treated to my eyes. ;)

Carpet , Corner traps and Soundbase for Subwoofer should be enough.

Corner traps i am definitely planning as i will be upgrading to one or two svs sb12-nsd depending on budget allowances.
does anyone know where to get corner bass traps in India especially for low frequency absorption ?

I was also planning one panel on the left side on the bare wall to treat first reflection point for the left speaker.

In the bookshelf on right side of the room if i keep books will it serve partially for controlling reflection, this is what ive heard, can the experts just confirm please.

There is a small carpet in the middle cant be seen in the pciture, i plan to buy a bigger carpet to replace it also , my wife has allowed me to do what i want in this one room thankfully.

Another picture to get better reference of the wall on left side.

After i get home from work i will add more pictures the room opens out to a small dining area and hallway behind the recliners shown in the picture.

one quick way (not necessarily cheap) is to add curtains to the blank wall on the left. that will help a lot. carpet is another very effective option but it comes with its own share of problems of maintenance. bass traps would be good too.

pillows, more furniture, canvas paintings on the wall, are some other options that one can experiment with.

i think it has more to do with how you want the room to look in the end. like an awesome studio or like an awesome living room. :)

To add curtains on a blank wall will not look nice. The carpet sure will have it's share of problems unless it is a dedicated room and if one can keep away from regular eatables and drinks. In my case i do not have any problem with carpet because i manage it well.

You need to tow-in the speakers first. That way sound is directly blasted at you instead of straight and reflections coming your way.

Since you do not have a center seat, make the left speaker point at right seat, right speaker at left seat. The center will image directly infront of you.

thanks for the suggestion .... i am going to try that.

First you please toe in the speakers. In the left wall you may try a small bare bookshelf without any front glass cover and stuff them with books. This will solve the problem of sound reflection. You also put a carpet as others have already suggested.

Had a look there. Nice-looking room you got there. I would suggest a carpet for the listening area. And curtain over the walls. Thick curtains. When the curtains are all over the walls, then it will look okay.

I have a Dspeaker Antimode 8033C for sale - excellent condition. Please call me on 08147358798 if interested. I am located in Bangalore.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
