gobblebhai,

happy Onam !!

I read all this too before i bought it.

a. Look there is no such things as a perfect speaker. There are compromises made and we have to live with it.

b. For any speaker or any product there will always be baa-baa:) reviews ( black sheep reviews )

c. What is to be seen is how well it combines with my Nad amp and Marantz cdp.

d. I think as long as there is no transit damage etc.. i should be ok.

Rest i can comment on after i listen to it for a month or so. I am waiting on Magmas stands which should take 2 more weeks.

I thank you for this link though.

Cangt wait to lay my hands on it. I am away on work related travel and wont be able to play these till Sunday evening.. what a wait !!:lol:

regards,
mpw

here they are.. just "unwrapped"..:licklips::licklips:

got back home just now..

Will have to wait till Sunday  till my AV rack gets done before i can plug in all the stuff i have taken off.

Physically - they are not as hefty as the Titans but i hope they will be imposing themselves sonically.

PS : I love the red color.. :D

regards,
mpw

OK, but after spending so much if your ears bleed ... unlikely with a NAD but still, tomorrow you might want to upgrade to another amp and it might be hot in the 2 to 4khz range ...

I am yet to test the speaker by plugging it in. Will have to wait till sunday till my rack is up and running.

My stands are not due for another 2 weeks..

They should sound like these-
Marantz PM15s Epos m12 - YouTube

all in due time.. right now.. am helpless.. my avrack should be done in a day. All my components are lying packed up. Just have to wait it out. Plus work load is heavy too so cant get away too easily.

:-))

Good to see that lot of patient people still in the hifi world waiting for the rack to come and hear the first sound from the setup. I have seen cases where people connect the equipments as soon as they arrive even in the middle of the night not caring for sleeping neighbours. ;)

Another impatient soul here. Now, over the years, I have become more patient. Those days, I used to return from Mumbai at 4am and would connect my equipments. Luckily, we were the sole occupants of the whole building and I like very low volume sound, so didn't get any complaints from my family either (or may be they were very tolerant)

Its been about half hour since this combo is up and running. the sound is quite nice. I will leave the description of this combo to denom - hopefully he will make it this week and we can add this to the audition experience - though the Epos is bought.

We will play with the same CD's with which we evaluated many speakers and see how this matches up.

I will update with photos once the stands arrive from magma. Hopefully Magma will do it quick.

My AV rack is up and running too and this is a job based on a rough sketch of mine and the good hands of a local carpenter to make it as cheap as possible.

I am happy with the sound i am getting for the money i spent.

Welcome any specific questions..

Right now the speakers are just kept on the rack.. no toe in.. just placed on a cloth.. till the stands come..

Cheers !!

Good to know that you are enjoying every bit of it. Once the stands are in place you will enjoy even further with proper placement and experimentation. Will be eagerly awaiting Denom's feedback as well as he was your partner in filtering so many speakers.:)

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
