Ok, I bought a seemingly "super-nice" HDMI cable off eBay. After hooking up my Sony NS708 dvd player to my Panasonic 42X10 I get audio-video dropouts. My previous cable works fine here.
Next I used the same cable to hook it up to my Benq W500 PJ, and now my (other) Sony NS78 DVD player isn't even detected by the PJ. Handshake issues?
Using the same cable I connected my WD TV Live to the PJ and it seems to work fine video-wise as the audio is routed via the digital out.
What gives here?? I'm totally confused why a cable is behaving such. The seller advertised it as compatible with 1.3b. My other cable is also an unknown brand.
I'd appreciate any inputs by the gurus here.
