There are two sellers that are authorised by LJM to sell the L15D, L20D and L25D kits on ebay. He does some kind of quality control also on these two. One is zoe-tsang and other is along1986090. zoe's shipping is a little bit cheaper.

I just pulled the plug on L15D, I only want 250w in 4 ohms.

not much to save. kit is some 38$ and the shipping is 6$, total about 45$ (Rs 2600 odd) for 2 channels of high quality amplification

There is also an option to get it pre-soldered, he charges some 5-10$ extra for pre soldered version. For people who are scared of soldering. I got the unsoldered one as I wish to solder it myself. High time i learn.

I haven't heard the design. Its based on the IR reference design. LJM's taken out some of the protection circuitry from that design, thats all. It was causing stability issues. No changes to the basic circuit or the sound signature. This is the same design on which the class d audio designs are based (and quite a few others too). I am not sure how much or what classdaudio modified for their design, but from what I've read, they sound in the same ballpark.

The protection circuitry can be added separately. I am planning to get some kind of soft start module and speaker protection circuitry for this build. LJM has a skr prot module also on sale from the same sellers.
