Sorry I missed seeing this ... Here is my recommendation.

Anticables solid core wire and connectors custom stereo cables

Well regarded and have a range of cables based on VFM. I haven't used them myself so this is a blind recommendation.
They are on my list of cables to try some time in the future.

Power Cords

Interesting;
These Cables have changed since I last tried them.
Maybe 5 or 7 years back.
Rockport Mira was the Speaker - I think.

sometime back i had written on these forums how a monster power center made an audible improvement to my music system (i felt that the sound became more focussed and less noisy - though lost a bit of the volume) but somebody rebuked me for that.

Me? Certainly no rebuke: I would not dream of rebuking you for anything! But I might well have responded.

Monster is a specific case, which I do not wish to enlarge on, as I don't want to put myself or this site in any danger. But if you want to know why I would not buy anything of that name, whatever its attributes, then let google guide you to some of the general consumer-issues sites.

Whatever it is we accept, there is almost always a choice of manufacturer, supplier, dealer. We make that choice for many reasons, and all personal choices are valid. There are no monsters in my house!

I am currently working on properly implementing my DAC which I picked up a few months ago. Don't want to change too many things at the same time. I am quite pleased with the cables made for me by Mr Murthy at present (braided Litz wire).

The Anti-Cables cords are a step up I would imagine. Plan to look at it next year.

Make that 60 days - request & call for the Cables & test them & return them back.

nandac, this might be redundant but have you looked at cleaning up your power first?
I found using a sine wave regenerator made a huge improvement than any cable upgrade.
In short look at your "power" first and then the "cord"

In addition, all the AC will then converted into DC before regenerated back as sine wave to the speaker. How does the cable able to alter anything in the chain?

I am not a 'promoter' of 'snake oil' in any form.

I only believe in 1 simple & basic rule.
If you can hear a difference - make the change - if you cannot have the courage & conviction to stand by it & accept the results.

So, if power cords do not make a 'sonic change' so be it.
If they make a sonic change to some other people - so be it too.

Who am I to agree or disagree with either / any.

I do no not endorse any cable - be it USB / Power / Ethernet etc.
All are 'controversial' so if any audio lover [audiophile] can hear a change & want to support it - I am OK with that & if not - then too I am OK with it.

At the end of the day it is about music & being in a position to appreciate & enjoy what one is listening to !

I am not sure whether it is human psychology or not but I am a believer that Power Chords makes difference.

Although I haven't experienced high end expensive power chords but I have tried atleast 3-4 different power chords in same setup and difference was audible. Although changes were not drastic but its worth giving a try and stick to ones which we like.
