ervo controlled voltage stabilisers in single phase input and single phase output with Isolation Transformer

Hi Madhu,

Thanks for the initiative. Can you let us know what is the difference between the two models.

Which one will be good for AVR, Subwoofer?

Thanks,
Prakash.

There must be some basic difference between Alpha and Alacrity Servo Stabiliser. The 3 kVA Alpha model weighs only 7 kg, whereas a 3 kVA Alacrity (Krykard) model weighs 29kg.

And also the pricing is also half. If possible, ram, check the internals by visiting their factory.

Ajith: Me and Venkat where just discussing about this. I will try to get some pictures of the Servo so that we can compare. Also, I am trying to see if we can get hold of some expert in chennai who can give us an expert neutral opinion. But the specs seems to same as Krykard (Alacrity) so I am thinking must be some mistake.

Kumar/Prakas: I am def not Madhu, you can call me Ram or MBR def not Madhu :)

Ram,

Please post your Price list/Detailed descps. in order continuosly( insert from your second post, third post , fourth post....)... That is better, dont want to see inbetween the discussion... Or not possible to insert now, make sure to reserve some post for U in order..

Regards

Krykard was qouting me almost 2K higher compared to vertex. I think Vertex was started by somebody who was working w/ krykard before.

Ram, were you able to establish the reason for the differences between Alpha and Krykard ? Looking forward to know your findings as i am very interested in finalising one by next week if everything is fine with those Alpha stabs. This thread is so helpful in the right time. Thanks for starting this thread.

I got a Servo stabilizer made by a local stabilizer manufacturer in Noida about 2 years back. It serves my purpose but I am sure it is not very good quality. It is 2 KVA but rather big and heavy but very cheap.
What i did was I gave him a Hubbell Receptor to put in the output section instead of Indian type of socket. I think that makes a lot of difference. This time I am going to replace Hubbell with Oyaide or wattgate and I am sure it will make a positive effect.. If power cord of the servo can also be improved along with internal connecting cables it will be much better.

Swami: I went ahead and bought a Alpha 3KVA. Its working fine at the moment. The reason they said is that their new processor controlled design much more advanced and reduces lot of components and more efficient, which is why the difference in weight.

Now, I am trying it on my own R&D. I cannot validate if it is true bcos I am no engineer :). I did check the output and it was a constant 230V and I also realized my house the power is very good. I get btw 230 to 240 so the servo did not make a difference in SQ or PQ. But I have peace of mind.

if anyone who is expert ion this can help, I can get them home and let them see the stab :)

Ram, very helpful. My place in Chromepet, the voltage sometimes is pathetic, so, this will safeguard my equipment and as well better the SQ, hopefully. thanks again.
