Problem: Speaker space

Hi All,

I have recently installed Pio head unit + JBL 6" co-ax in front and rear doors in my Ritz car.
I have two questions regarding the installation of the speakers:
1. The 6" JBL co-ax did not fix properly because the space provided in door panel was little bit shortor than the JBL speaker. In that case after some time the speakers will be loosed. So how can I fix them?

2. At the higher level of volume I have seen rattling, so the solution I have learnt from the forum is damping.
Now I wants to know what is damping and how much does it cost?

Hi prash2k01

You can try mounting the speakers in the door on an wooden MDF rings. This help in reducing the rattle and it will also help in damping. These rings are usually available with the audio installer from whom you have got the setup done.

Hi net_cmd, I have ritz LXi and it does not have wooden MDF rings....

^you'll have to ask your installer to fit them, they dont come stock
