Aikido (Octal) - fired this up last year on a bare board. Finally got the chassis delivered in July. Up last Sunday.

Sounds just the same, ridiculous. Its been running a 300b (Tubelab) till now whose sound I really like.

I fired up a Tubelab 2A3 today and its got new company

Thank you for all the 'likes'. The build is quite simple actually - choose the gain, choose the tube and off you go.

Sold my old faithful Polks and bought these:

1. Indiq Diamond Mishra and Platinum Centre (yet to place the centre speaker)
2. Leaf Audio DAC (based on ES9038Q2M chip)
3. Aiyima A07 Class D amplifier (based on TPA3255)

Yet to get the custom cabinet made to accommodate LCR. Using ghetto stands for LR now.

Playing music on Spotify via BT makes me wonder how well technology has advanced to provide such good value proposition.

Just completed black velvet. I must say the image and the immersion is fantastic now. It's very hard to switch off the Projector once you have turned it on. Black Velvet has been one of the best additions to my HT so far. Completely sucks away any stray light and the result is a complete black hole. [ The speakers are partially done in velvet, will cover them all up in the weekend time, probably going to change the center channel to something beefier ]
The room is half done in Velvet, side walls, ceiling and the floor too. This pic is with all lights on.
Next addition to my HT is again on the video side, a high end HTPC to max out MadVR. Looking to buy a GPU soon ( preferably the RTX 3090 or the 3080Ti at the least ) View attachment 59540

I used Styrene Emulsion ( similar to Fevicol, which is a brand name ) for bonding of Velvet with wall.
Make sure that you really want to use this bonding emulsion to attach velvet to the walls and ceiling coz if you want to remove the fabric off the walls later on, the paint on the walls will get damaged to a extent where you will have to paint the wall again. I have a dedicated room so i could use that as i dont plan to remove the velvet at any point in future.

A cabinet which can accommodate LCR and rest of the electronics is getting ready.
I know of a person who has CNCs and laser cutters and does a good job with customization.

Ventured into headphones and HP amps via pre-loved gear and after constant reading and getting advices on headphone and gear finally onto HD650 and Xduoo XD05 Plus..
After being on a proper 2 channel separates, this is now a new toy to play. Thank you @fLUX to dragging me into this side of the rabbit hole. Just kidding buddy.. Its been a wonderful experience.

I must say the XD05 Plus is a piece of art and same goes with the HD650 Cans.
Just swapped the opamp on the output stage on this tiny amp and i must say, really awakens the inner beast.
Picked up from The Audio Store and really wonderful experience with their delivery.. Kudos to them.
