Sony W850 vs W950 and Price Details

Hi All

Wish you a very Happy New Year

Looking for a 46-47" LED. Zeored down to Sony. Now getting confused between W850A (47") and W950A (46").

Main Purpose:

1. Movies (from External HDD)
2. Sports through Airtel HD
3. Games

Checked various posts within the forum to sort list these two as well as on the Sony.

Main Difference:

1. Panel is different in W950 (advanced Panel than W850)
2. W950 is 800Hz where as W850 is 400 Hz (I checked the sports action during demo for 15-20 mins, hardly able to find any difference)

Need advice and best price in Bangalore. Will close the deal by this week.

I checked in Unilet, Croma, eZone, Pai. If any one recently purchased please share the deal (Price + freebies)

w850 - Passive 3D
w950 - Active 3D.
When I demoed both, I liked passive 3d.

I am not inclined to 3D, for me it's kind of added benefit. PQ is more important (for Sports) and the Movie viewing exp. As I will be using this for gaming so the less time lag model is a def. + from my side

Any idea on the price of these models in Bangalore? Who is giving the best deal...any pointer will be helpful.

For gaming lag I have read some where W850 has less lag then W950.
Nothing much but around 1ms to 2 ms. I think W950 has 19ms and W850 has 17ms.

About pricing below are best prices which I got
W850 - 98k
W950 - 1.28L with 12GB PS3 worth RS 16K.
Since I don't wanted PS3 owner was ready to less 15K PS3 price from 1.28L.
One thing I noticed is multi brand shops like, croma, vijay sales their prices are same as sony showroom price and not ready to negotiate price, but if you go to small electronics shops they are ready to negotiate and also initially only you get less price from this shops.
